exercise 1 – viewing a daily work report in this exercise, you will view a daily work report. this example begins from the aashtoware project™ home page.

exercise 2 – generating dwr reports in this exercise, you will generate a dwr report. there are several dwr reports. these can be accessed from the dwr window, dwr item posting window, or the generate reports option on the global actions menu. report titles included are: daily work report-dwr, installed work items by reference-dwr, and installed work items report. this example begins from contract daily work report summary.

exercise 3 – adding a daily work report in this exercise, you will review information about adding a daily work report. to add a new daily work report, all staff will use the tdot dwr app. refer to the daily work report (dwr) 2.0: user manual for specific information regarding how to add a daily work report.

exercise 4 – submitting a dwr for approval in this exercise, you will review information about submitting a dwr for approval. once a dwr is complete, you can submit it for approval only through the tdot dwr app. refer to the daily work report (dwr) 2.0: user manual for specific information regarding how to submit a daily work report for approval.

exercise 5 – approving a dwr in this exercise, you will approve a dwr. dwr’s should be approved by someone of equal or higher title. only office staff and office supervisors may approve their own dwr’s. office staff may not approve any dwr’s except for their own. note: inspectors should not approve their own dwr. this example begins from contract progress summary on the daily work reports tab.

exercise 7 – returning a rejected dwr to draft status in this exercise, you will review information about returning a rejected dwr to draft status. returning a rejected dwr to draft status will be handled by the dwr app. after syncing, the dwr calendar will show in the dwr with a red exclamation point like the image on the next page on february 3rd.
dwr app calendar note: the bottom of the screen on the image shown above displays a legend describing each status of a dwr that appears on the calendar. there are 6 statuses including: draft, unsynced, pending approval, revision requested, approved, and read only.
dwr app status tab select the rejected dwr on the calendar within the dwr app to open that dwr. click the status tab on the dwr app screen. click the blue slider to change the dwr from ‘submit for approval’ back to ‘draft’ status. click the save and sync button.
